Trauma Therapy + EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of the most extensively researched treatments for trauma available. The use of bilateral stimulation to support trauma processing and the integration of distressing experiences.

Our psychologist Megan Sinclair is trained in EMDR and delivers it within a carefully paced, trauma-informed framework. We never rush this work.
Perinatal Mental Health
The journey into and through motherhood can be one of the most transformative and most challenging experiences of a woman's life. This transformation has a name: matrescence. The word describes the profound physical, emotional, and identity-level shift of becoming a mother, a process that is ongoing, nonlinear, and deeply individual. It is not something to recover from. It is something to move through, with the right support.

We want every woman we work with to know this word and to feel held within it.

You deserve support that understands this season of life, not just a general mental health framework applied to it.

Event Speaking + Workshop Development
At Wellness Avenue, we are passionate about education. Events and workshops are a great platform to share information to the wider community. Topics we have spoken on have included:

-
Nervous System Regulation
Polyvagal theory and the role of the autonomic nervous system. Focusing on how to choose regulation strategies based on the different nervous system states and how to expand the window of tolerance.
-
Nutritional Interventions for Mental Health
Including the gut-brain connection and how the food we consume effects our mood. The importance of nourishing the gut microbiome and eating a diverse whole-food focused diet.
